Since 2008, the Bay Area Girls Rock Camp has been empowering girls, non-binary, and trans youth through music lessons, workshops, and live performance. Many of the kids who attend these sessions have never picked up an instrument or written a song. By the end of their camp, they perform original music, live with a group of their peers. Since 2019, I've documented these budding musicians as they graduated from camp acquaintances to full-fledged bands.
